Decided to upload a closeup on his design because this big boy deserves it. Also I may be crushing on his fine grinning mug but anyhoo...
All this experimentation with color and light, this color palate/aesthetic, in particular... oh, how it makes me want to roam in the Rocky Mountains again.
Also, I listened to this kind of music (www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUgwM1…) while creating this design, and if you don't listen to it while viewing Pierstov here, you are missing out on a lot of who he is. Because yes, he plays a banjo/balalaika/some combination thereof and sings at the top of his lungs as much as he yells orders at his men.
