Just Up To A Little Acting..."This is unladylike, and I tremble to think what might happen if we're found out, or what my mother would say right now!" Hiylienea moaned.
"A little late to think of that." Paladin squared his shoulders and adjusted his bow and quiver across his back. "And rather the wrong time. If you feel against a little acting, you are cordially invited to stay outside in the rain, if you wish. Let's go inside."
Paladin opened the door, and it swung inward to let them enter a short passageway lined with benches that ran the entire length of it, polished with much use. Light spilled from the many lamps in the front room of the inn beyond, about ten feet
Skirmish  Rhea hardly made it halfway down the stairs to the entryway a minute later, when a commotion of shouting and clattering broke the quiet of the villa. Heart leaping, she stopped dead still, poised to either advance or retreat, and then suddenly Paladin appeared at the foot of the stairs. One wild look at Rhea, and he bolted at her, grabbed her wrist, and dragged her after him up the stairs, a hard right, and down the hallway.
"What in Empyrean's name is goin' on, sir?" she gulped, just enough sense in her flummoxed mind to keep the guise of Perrel.
"Sir Diony, blast him… he knows who I am!" Paladin panted, flinging them both around another
Gossip With a Griffin"Zephen," Hiylienea whispered as she cleared away the breakfast things very early the next day, when even the birds had not quite begun to rustle and warm up their voices in the dew-dripping trees, "do you notice anything out of the ordinary this morning?"  
The Griffin looked up from the meticulous cleaning of the last traces of his well-enjoyed breakfast from his paws, and frowned. "How do you mean?"  
"Hush." Hiylienea's brown eyes darted to the other side of the smoldering campfire, where Paladin and Rhea sat facing them, both apparently engrossed with the last of their waybread and rabbit gravy.
